□ Korea Population Health and Welfare Association(KoPHWA) has successfully concluded the “2026 Sexual Health Quiz Show for Youth,” a program designed to help young people learn accurate information about sex and contraception in an easy and engaging way and develop healthy sexual values.

□ This year’s quiz show was held twice at Sangjang Middle School in Taebaek, Gangwon Province, and Hwayang High School in Yeosu, Jeollanam Province, which were selected through an application process open to middle and high schools nationwide.

□ Now in its third year, the “Sexual Health Quiz Show” is designed to help young people naturally build their knowledge of sex and contraception through hands-on activities and quizzes they solve together with their peers.

□ Before the main quiz show, a variety of interactive booths were operated to help students feel more comfortable with topics related to sex and contraception and encourage active participation.

□ At the “Today’s Contraception Class” booth, students had the opportunity to explore a variety of contraceptive devices and learn about the importance of contraception and proper contraceptive methods. The “If I Were to Become a Mom or Dad” booth allowed students to indirectly experience the process of pregnancy through a pregnancy simulation and reflect on the value of life.

□ The main quiz show used an electronic voting system and a cumulative scoring format, allowing all students to participate in the quiz until the end. The format helped maintain students’ high levels of concentration and generated an enthusiastic response.

□ The quiz show gave students an opportunity to assess their existing knowledge of sex and contraception and identify information they had misunderstood or did not know. The average correct response rate for the true-or-false questions was 68.4% among middle school students and 84.9% among high school students, while the average correct response rate for the multiple-choice questions was 67.7% among middle school students and 71.1% among high school students. For both types of questions, high school students recorded higher correct response rates than middle school students.

□ However, these results are based solely on a comparison of quiz responses and should be regarded as reference data for understanding response patterns observed among students participating in the programs at each school.

‖ “It’s Better to Experience It Yourself Than Just Listen to a Lecture” — High Satisfaction with Interactive Programs

□ Students responded positively to the hands-on and interactive nature of the programs. A satisfaction survey conducted among students who participated at the two schools found that an average of 96.1% of respondents were satisfied with the overall program. In particular, the hands-on activities and survival quiz show received high satisfaction ratings, indicating strong interest among adolescents in programs that allow them to participate and learn through direct experience.

□ Kyoung-Seon Kim, President of KoPHWA, said, “It is important to help adolescents make informed decisions about their bodies and behaviors based on accurate information about sex and contraception and develop healthy sexual values. We will continue to expand educational programs and activities that allow adolescents to learn accurate information about sex and contraception in an easy and engaging way while actively participating.”
