□ On the 27th, KoPHWA signed a MOU with the Korea Platform Freelancer Labor Mutual Aid Association(KWMF) to promote the health rights of freelancers and platform workers and expand support for health screenings.

□ The agreement was established by linking KWMF’s health screening support program, which aims to improve access to preventive healthcare for freelancers and platform workers, with the KoPHWA’s nationwide health screening infrastructure.

□ KWMF provides financial support for comprehensive health screenings for freelancers and platform workers, whose healthcare needs are often deprioritized due to the nature of their work. Through this agreement, program participants will be able to receive health screenings more conveniently at the KoPHWA’s 13 Family Health Clinics located across the country.

□ Through this partnership, the two organizations will collaborate to:

▲ Provide health screening support through KoPHWA’s nationwide network of Health Clinics;

▲ Improve regional access to health screening services;

▲ Provide health screening appointment scheduling and information services; and

▲ Promote a culture of preventive healthcare and health promotion.

□ In particular, by expanding participating health screening access beyond the Seoul metropolitan area to locations nationwide, the agreement is expected to establish a foundation that enables freelancers and platform workers to receive health screenings regardless of where they live.

□ Kyoung Seon Kim, president of KoPHWA said, “By leveraging our nationwide network of health clinics, we will improve access to health screenings for freelancers and platform workers and contribute to addressing gaps in healthcare access.”

□ The Chairperson of the KWMF, Dongman Kim, said, “For many freelancers and platform workers, a single day’s income is directly tied to their livelihood, which often makes healthcare management a lower priority. With this agreement, we have established a foundation that will allow workers to access health screenings more conveniently anywhere in the country, and we will continue expanding our support to help protect their right to health.”
